G. The Charm of a Child
- The third miniature book from prints by AJ is the first two color book
in the series. Austin Jones writes about the life and work of Kate Greenway,
the 19th Century illustrator of children’s books. This well known
artist and author preferred being called K.G. rather than Catherine or
Kate. Kate Greenway’s books and illustrations became well know during
her lifetime because of her father’s abilities to reproduce her
art work and print books in color. Fourteen of Kate Greenway’s most
endearing illustrations are printed in miniature for this book. Fifteen
of the one hundred books printed contain illustrations water colored by
Jean Jones.
K.G. The Charm of a Child - The third miniature book is the first two
color (black and green) printed book in the series. This book was completed
in July 2001. This book expanded to 32 pages and measures 2 x 2.5 inches.
It was printed on a Model No. 4 Press using Century Schoolbook type on
Rives Lightweight paper. The book is covered with green cloth and the
title is gold foil. Each book is signed and numbered. The fifteen books
containing fourteen miniature water colored images are also numbered and
signed. (email for availability of colored books @$75.00 ea.) Limit 100.
